In this “Ask Me Anything” session, we will build an understanding of language models from the ground up, including how language models are pre-trained, refined, and used in applications.
Starting with the original generative pre-training (GPT) model, Cameron will go through a brief history of language models, culminating with the proposal of large language models (LLMs) like GPT-3.
From here, we will go beyond GPT-3 to specialized large language models by building an understanding of the refinement process that is used to create models like ChatGPT.
Through all of this, we will learn about common themes that tend to be shared by successful language models and core concepts that power the impressive models that we use today.
